Pretty good

I went up for my B-Day weekend, 2 days ago, 8/4 Fri. Just me and my little dog. It was so hard finding the place because there is NO sign with the name of the place, Pond House Inn anywhere, BUT there was a For Sale sign out front! This little lady in sweats and her hair all over... showed me around, said she would be there if I needed anything. I saw her no more than 10 minutes and I Never saw her again! She said she wouldn't be around sat. or sun. because she works. I asked how to lock the door when I'm not here? In VT she says, we don't ! Thst make me very uncomfortable!! The Ad states there is TV, yes there is one ( to the Left of the bed 3' off the floor!) , BUT no cable or even local TV! And you can't get the internet on her TV! What good is that?? She said she has DVDs look it up on her site, then let her know what ones you want and she will bring me one. She tells me she goes to bed early, so what then when I can't find her 20 after arriving? I arrived at 6.45pm. I asked if I could put a few drinks in the fridge, She said, NO! I usually drink a Protein drink, I guess not! I get my things into the room, the house and the room smells musty and is very damp. Then, I go to plug in my lap top, I can't. Because all outlets are 2 prong plugs! So, i guess the only internet is on my phone! I went thruough the house 3 times, calling her name, looking into rooms, the pink room, not all put together, closets, the little white kitchen. She was nowhere to be found, So, I tried messaging her a few times, but she doesn't respond! I go back to my room, exausted (after driving 5 hrs in extreme traffic), I sat on the damp bed, in the musty smelling, Silent room and I had to leave. On top of everything, the musty smell was really bothering me. So, I leave after being there for about an hour. I had to drive all the way home because there was no close place to stay that accepted my dog. I didn't get home untill 1.30am!! So, she does a review about me and says I need to find a place to hold my hand! Really? I wouldn't call her a host!!

Classic Vermont B&B with comfortable accommodations. Friendly house dog is kept away unless you ask innkeeper for his company, I did. Delicious breakfast served at 8:30 but innkeeper's choice. Coffee with yogurt, granola and fruit available from 7:30 if you need to leave early. Three spacious rooms, 2 up and one down. It's close to Woodstock (about 20 minutes) on Shattuck Hill Road a short distance from where it intersects VT 44.
